
Skagit Valley College Men’s Basketball Reaches NWAC Final Four Again

The Skagit Valley College men’s basketball team is back in the Final Four of the 2026 NWAC Championship Tournament, marking the second consecutive season SVC basketball has reached the semifinal round.

The Cardinals advanced to the NWAC Final Four with a pair of decisive victories in the Tri-Cities, the host site of the NWAC tournament. On March 5, Skagit Valley College defeated Columbia Basin 91-58 in a dominant opening-round performance. The following day, March 6, SVC basketball continued its strong run with a 91-52 win over Centralia College. The two victories in Pasco secured Skagit Valley College a spot in the NWAC Final Four.
Skagit Valley College will now face the Edmonds Tritons in the semifinal round, with a trip to the NWAC championship game on the line. You can watch that game here.
SVC basketball enters the Final Four with a 28-3 overall record after finishing second in the NWAC regular-season standings under longtime head coach Carl Howell. The appearance marks the Cardinals’ second semifinal trip in the past three seasons under Howell, after also reaching the NWAC semifinals in 2024.
With another deep postseason run, Skagit Valley College continues to establish itself as one of the top programs in NWAC basketball as the Cardinals look to advance to the NWAC championship game and compete for a conference title.
